Entering their fifth year, the Farm Shop & Deli Awards are officially open for entries.
Category awards are up for grabs across 12 different specialisms with nine regional awards also available – plus the coveted ‘Farm Shop & Deli Retailer of the Year’ title. There is also the chance for young companies, who have opened since April 2015, to compete for the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ Award won by Brace of Butchers in 2017.
The awards, which have already started to receive entries for the 12 award categories, also welcome consumer comments to help judges decide the category, regional and overall Farm Shop & Deli Retailer of the Year Award winners.
Nigel Barden, chairman of judges and food and drink journalist said: “The Farm Shop and Deli sector continues to grow in size and importance, as do these awards, which crucially acknowledge the finest in the field, in both retail and online. They also help consumers track down the finest out there, as these talented retailers continue to push the boundaries.”
The awards are a free and a fantastic way for specialist retailers in the food and drink sector to showcase all the great work they and their team are doing nationally and with their local customers. The closing date for entries is 30 September.
Retailers who enter will receive a voting pack with all the tools they need to raise awareness of their entries and drive their consumer votes before the October deadline.
The category, regional and Farm Shop & Deli Retailer of the Year 2018 winners will be announced at Farm Shop & Deli Show on 16 April 2018 at Birmingham’s NEC.
